Theory into Practice Reading Responses

You will be required to respond electronically to the weekly reading assignments. Your responses should be approximately 300-500 words in length and must be completed by midnight each Saturday so that a classmate can read them and respond before class on Tuesday. These formal responses to the texts are unrestricted in scope or topic as long as you cogently discuss the theories presented and make clear connections to your practical work. The writer should evaluate the reading material in terms of its pedagogical value, outline at least three key points, and also pose questions with their own tentative answers to the readings The writer can also compare the ideas in one set of readings to previous course readings or something they read outside of class. These responses will be very important because they will help shape our class discussions and elucidate individual ideological stances in the class at large. In addition, students should read all of their colleagues TIPRR’s and briefly respond to at least two them each week. These responses should engage the original writer with additional questions and possible answers to the questions posed. These responses should be 100-200 words in length. TIPRR responses should be posted weekly on the TMA 690 blog.
